Summer Solstice and Spiritual Practice

Summer Solstice, (June 20 – 21) marks the longest day of the year. It is also called Midsummer’s Day. Because the Sun is considered as one of the primary sources of energy (or prana, or chi) and light, this day is one of the auspicious days of the year.
Doesn’t matter of which spiritual tradition you might choose if you haven’t done that yet, the energy of the Solstice would be the perfect time to begin your practice.
In my opinion, it is essential to root your life into a spiritual tradition that you are personally comfortable with because it will lay out a foundation upon which your worldview will be built thus creating a stability in your life.
For example, yoga is one of such spiritual traditions that many people find it suitable and upon which they root their worldview.
But there are other traditions that you might find personally more attuned to. And the key word here is “personally.”
In the end, it doesn’t really matter which road you take, but what important is that you do establish your Personal Relationship with God/Goddess (depending on the tradition people might call it Great Spirit or Divine, and some prefer personal names such as Odin, Shiva, etc.)
